What's more, the code behind open source products is open to anyone - so you won't be tied in to Clystnet - we know you'll only stay with us if we continue to do a good job! What's more, as these are the two most popular CMS systems globally, there are THOUSANDS of ready made 'plug ins' for ths sytems - so no matter what your requirements - be it a contact form, diary or booking system or maybe just a live weather report - there are ready made modules to addd taht functiuonality to your site. If you requirement is very specific, we can of course develop custom modules.

What this means is that an Open Source Joomla or Drupal CMS site will be developed faster and therefore for less money than any other CMS system. What's more, once built, you aren't tied in to Clystnet. We don't thionk this offer is beatable!

Are Open Source solutions powerful or flexible enough?Huge numbers of high profiule website are built using either Joomla or Drupal. Many BBC sites, Sony Europe, the UN and the President of the United States of America's website. As such, we think you can be sure thay will cope with your site.

There really is no reason these days why you would develop a site any other way!

We can roll out a basic CMS site ready for your text content within around a day. For a traditional solution, you would probably expect several weeks worth of work, and several weeks worth of expense!

We start by building your site a template - this gives you the look and feel of your site. Once you are happy with the template, we install either Joomla or Drupal, depending on which is best for your particular site, and then build up the site structure, including pages, menus and add ons (such as interactive features, blogs, diaries etc).

We have found that the level of involvement that companies want in the build varies. We are happy to cater for what ever needs you may have - we can deliver a site completely finished, with all of the text written for you, or we can simply deliver a site with no content so that you can write all of your own text and upload your own photos. We work to your requirements.

How will my sight be hosted and made secure?

We generally host CMS websites ourself on one of our dedicated servers. These servers are based in one olf the World's largest server frams.. As well as multiple power supplies and routes out to the internet, they are backed up every night automatically. We also undertake to back up the sites ourself to our own backup server at least once a week. We are happy to provide you with the tools to back up to your own location if you wish. We use the latest security update on all our sites to minimize the risk of hacker attacks. If you think your site is at particular risk, we utilise the Mighty Extensions 'Defender' package which gives substantially increased hacker protection. If all else fails - we can restore a broken site in under an hour.! Although we do not recommend that you host the site yourself - this is your choice. It is your site after all!

What services do we offer?

New Website Design - For companies that don't already have a website. We take care of the entire process from registering the domain, designing the template, configuring the CMS solution to hosting the site and supporting it throughout its life with us. We also look after your email.

Website Update - Many companies have websites that are dated and don't reflect their current business. Often the technology used is poor, the sites look old fashioned and generally does not reflect what your business is offering. We undertake to completely rebuild your site utilising the lastest technology and features, and giving the future control of the site over to you.

Website Port - If you already have a site that you are happy with, but it isn't presently a CMS site or maybe it is, but isn't easy to use, we will move your entire site over to one of our solutions. As our hosting costs are inexpensive, the cost savings over two years will more than cover the cost of the move.
